27th March 2018

Welcome to week 9!

We've had another great week pass us by, filled with our favourite activities. Dress ups were particularly popular last week - it was wonderful to see some children experimenting with creativity and embracing their imagination!

As Easter is just around the corner, all things Easter related are very popular at OSHC currently. Decorating Easter bags have been highly requested, with children putting in their best effort to make them look wonderful. Check out some of our work...

Vacation Care
Please don't forget to book your places! Especially for excursion days, as they fill up quickly.
Week 2 of the holidays will be a short week, due to the ANZAC Day public holiday on Wednesday 25th April.

We hope you all have a lovely long weekend. Many of the children have been telling us excitedly about their Easter plans!

20th March 2018

Hello again!

This post will be all about the past 2 weeks at OSHC., which were filled with some great things :)

On Friday of week 6, EHPS had a Pupil Free Day. For OSHC, that meant an excursion to Latitude! Both the children and staff were so excited to spend the day jumping, climbing, balancing, and having all kinds of fun. Latitude is a great place to spend a day of the school holidays too...if you are not in Vacation Care, that is!

Weeks 6 and 7 were filled with our usual favourite activities; card games, craft, and playing outside to name a few.

Here at EHPS OSHC, we place a big emphasis on play. We believe that play holds a lot of educational value, particularly in the development of social skills. At OSHC, children are given many opportunities to learn through play, which is something that we are proud to offer. A group of children created an artwork around a philosophy on play that we as educators highly relate to. It is on display at OSHC, have a look at a photo of their creation...

Friday of week 11 (13th April) is Belair Fun Day. As this is also the last day of term, there will be an early dismissal time of 2:15pm. OSHC will be available on this day from 2:15pm, so if you require OSHC please book in as soon as possible!

School holidays are just around the corner, and our Vacation Care program is out now. Please collect a copy of the program from OSHC to book your places. Have a look at what we will be getting up to...

6th March 2018

Week 5 has just passed us, and what a great week it was!

Lots of our favourite activities from past weeks were popular once again, including clay, sewing, outdoor activities, and board/card games.

Our group of sewers spent last week working on making pillows. This week, they have moved on to making teddy bears. They have been experimenting with different fabrics and materials, and have been practicing using a needle and thread under adult supervision. Have a look at what they have made so far!

Seesaw
Just like many of the classes at EHPS, OSHC also has a Seesaw for families to access. This is a great way to keep up with what your child gets up to at OSHC. If you are a parent of OSHC and do not have access to your child's Seesaw, please feel free to visit us and ask for help!
