4th October 2019

Hello all!

Our first week of vacation care has just flow by! We started the week with Garden Party Games like giant jenga, connect 4, mollky and viking chess - provided by Molly, former staff at Eden Hills OSHC.

On Tuesday we went to Hahndorf Farm Barn where we participated in some hands on animal experiences. We fed carrots to the goats, deer, geese, emu's and donkey's in the paddock.  We got to milk Daisy the cow and Dianne ever had a lizard on her head! After lunch we got to feed some of the very cute baby animals and pat them.

On Wednesday Rashad Tucker and Greg ran a Basketball clinic at OSHC. We practiced our skills, had work in teams and ran around A LOT! After we had a fresh and healthy shared lunch.

On Thursday we visit the Old Adelaide Gaol, we were incredibly lucky with the weather and had a fun and interesting day! We had to crack codes to escape, playing in the rec yard like prisoners and saw some artifacts from the museum.

Can wait to see everyone next week!

4th June 2019

Hi everyone,
It is definitely feeling like winter here at OSHC, the early mornings and late afternoons are very cold! So please help you child to remember to bring a jumper or they won't be able to play outside.

A week ago our OSHC was assessed and rated to the National Quality Standard, assessing` that our services meets all 7 quality areas that are important outcomes for children.

  1. Educational program and practice
  2. Children's health and safety
  3. Physical environment
  4. Staffing arrangements
  5. Relationships with children
  6. Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
  7. Governance and leadership

We will let you know in the coming weeks how we went. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any suggestion for what our service can improve on.

The winter holidays are coming up soon and Dianne is working away at the program and aims to have it to parents as soon as possible. We will be making sure the program is weather appropriate, and making sure that we get our energy out in lots of creative ways.

Thank you
Tori and the OSHC team.

1st May 2019

Hi everyone!

Welcome to term 2!

Looking back, at what was a very short vacation care we sure did have a heap of fun.
We started week one off with Autumn leaf art and craft and an excursion the the Blackwood Rec. Centre

We also made tye dye bags and lots of different coloured chocolates before Easter Friday.

After Easter break we had a AFL clinic run by Catie and Tori and a soccer clinic run by Damian and Molly. Lucky for us it was beautiful day to be outside and play!

On Wednesday we made lots of ANZAC biscuits. The children got to decorate their bags to take them home in.

And finally to finish off our two weeks of vac. care we had an excursion to the Museum and War Memorial.

Thank you to all for a great vacation care!

Just a reminder there is a pupil free day on Wednesday the 8th of May. Drop in to OSHC to pick up a consent form.

Thank you
Tori and the OSHC team.

4th April 2019

Hello everyone!

With some nice and warm weather this week, we have really enjoyed our time outside. The chalk has had a good workout and we found some cool drawing rocks that we used to decorate the stones outside with some beautiful drawings.

We also created a fun treasure map that took us through OSHC and all around the playground!

We are getting close to the end of Term 1 (how fast did that go!?). Don't forget to book your children in for the Easter school holidays. Booking forms are on the desk in the office.

ADMIN NOTICES:

  • Please remember to tell us when your child is coming in or if they are not
  • There is a pupil free day on the 8th of May in Term 2
  • You may have noticed your tax invoice is longer than usual. It is now a Government requirement that your CCS entitlements are attached to your invoice

Have a great weekend!
